Contact your State legislators to let them know you support House Bill 3983, An Act to Create A 2050 Roadmap to A Clean and Thriving Commonwealth, the first step towards reducing fossil fuel emissions to net zero in Massachusetts and a future free of climate crisis. Here’s how:

3. Email or Call your State Legislators
Email or Call your State Senator and State Representative to let them know you support H.3983. Here is suggested text:
“Support for Green New Deal in Massachusetts Now
Dear Legislators:
I urge you to support H.3983, An Act to Create A 2050 Roadmap to A Clean and Thriving Commonwealth, which creates a regulatory framework to reduce fossil fuel emissions to net zero in Massachusetts and helps us create a future free of climate crisis.
Given recent reports of an acceleration in the rate of glacial melting in Greenland, upward revision of projected sea level rise, and continued inaction by the Trump administration, it is important our State Government take action now to combat the climate crisis. Acting now in Massachusetts is not just about doing our part to reduce fossil fuel emissions; our leadership in Massachusetts has inspired action in other states and at the federal level before, on a host of issues including universal health insurance, marriage equality, and energy policy. Recognizing this, the Massachusetts Democratic Party has endorsed H.3983 as well as H.778, H.2810, S.1924, H.2872, S.1927, and H.3629 to reduce CO2 emissions through renewable energy, electric vehicles, and taxpayer rebates for saving energy. Most importantly, protecting our climate transcends political party: our climate is part of the legacy we leave to future generations.
